Aleister Crowley
Father of Thelema

Aleister Crowley (1875 – 1947) worked developed Thelema, an esoteric religion, and was a prominent figure within occult circles. Whilst it is known he worked for Britain’s spy agency during time1, it is unknown whether Thelema was developed on their behalf.

Thelma, with its links to pedophilia, doubtlessly served the British Crown well for blackmail purposes.

His exact role in the agency remains a secret, biographers reveal1 he spied for British intelligence throughout his life. Whilst a spy, he would join the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Freemasonry, Ordo Templi Orientis, Thule Society and found his own esoteric religion, Thelema.
